025 Seems like it's been forever, that you've been gone
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 9:48 PM

Hola everybody!

Did you miss me when I'm gone?

Hahhaa, so shameful. Well, can't blame me. There're several reasons why I didn't blog for more than 1 month.

1. Too much homework, and if I really want to keep to my sleep time (@ 10pm - 10.30pm) every night, I can't use the computer at all.

2. Nothing much to blog about (actually there're many)

3. 1 entry of mine requires a whole lot of time (uploading of pics and typing a decent entry, that takes about 1-2 hours!)

4. Been quite involved in school events (wheeee can't vait vait! All to do with ttttttttalking yippee! I AM KRANJI AND KRANJI IS ME!)

5. The most vital yet subtle reason, I wanna make all my posts as interesting as possible. Hahhaa. Well, I want all my entries to have a meaning to it, be it positive or negative (of course it's positive most of the time), so that requires time. Hahaha.

Time is money. Everyone has equal time - 24 hours, no more or no less. It depends on how you make full use of them. These days, I've become so particular about spending time WISELY, cos life's been so busy, I can't seem to do many interesting things like I used to, like staying back in school with Nadia and totally going crazy with her, bowling trips (I miss bowling!), camwhoring sessions with PPFFPP (well well, when was the last time I called her that! Nostagia) and many many more.

Without time, everything is unable to be done. We definitely need some time management to juggle among studies, CCA and school events. Fortunately I've already stepped down from my CCA (something I feel kinda sad 'bout, no SYF for me :(), so I ain't that busy.

I feel kinda jealous to see everyone counting down to their SYFs, I could really sense that surge of excitement, fear, anticipation, belief and confidence in them. At least they've something to fight for, something they call it their "dream", something they've been working hard for and finally showing who they really are and what they are really made of, something that the whole team can work in one accord to achieve the same result, something sensational/heart-wrenching/exciting/anticipating.

This is the feeling I've yet to experience in my 4 years in Kranji and WILL NEVER GET TO EXPERIENCE IT ANYMORE. Kinda sad but, what can I do? Miss Tand definitely has our custodies at heart, studies as priority. I can understand. But if other Performing Arts members can do it, why can't we?

I know it's too late to talk about this, but hmm just feel so wasted.

Nevertheless, just wanna say,

ALL THE BEST TO ALL PERFORMING ARTS MEMBERS FOR SYF'09!

Get a Gold back for Kranji! :DD

On a totally separate note, this week feels like e-learning week to me. Hahaha I kept using the computer for the same reason again and again, day by day. And that's to complete my Testimonial! Wheeee.

I'm quite happy that I've got 14 pages for my Testimonial. Hahhaa. Kudos to the school participation and contributions section though. 8 pages of them you know! Hahhaa. :D I'm sure there're more, just that I can't recall them. Who has perfect memory? :O

School's been really okay. PTM's coming right up and guess what!

I TOTALLY SCREWED E MATHE UPSIDE DOWN!

Firstly, because I've scored a whackin' 49.5/50 :D :D :D for my Common Test (which couldav been full marks but Suzie just HATES giving people full marks so there goes half a mark), which means a 99.0 in the first column of my result slip, under Elementary Mathematics.

HOWEVER, THE WORST IS COMING!

The second column comsists of all the tests/homework you've taken. And you know what! I fking scored 50% D: D: D: for that! Vrahlao brahlao vrahlao brahlao sibeh angry larrrrhxz! And I scored so low just because I made a stupid careless in my Vectors test, like what, I wrote one sign wrongly (should be a '+' sign, but I wrote '-' sign I.Should.Kill.Myself), caused me to score a wheezing 3/12 for that particular test.

Sheeeeeeezass, now my overall score is like TOTALLY PULLED DOWN. Like only 75%?!??!?! OhmyGawd, that's exactly A1. First time in Secondary School I scored so low for E Mathe. OMG OMG OMG!

Not to mention the fact that I'm sad, I'm

AGONIZED!

Haha but I'm not demoralised! This shows that I shouldn't be so careless anymore. Lessons learnt:

1. Never be too complacent. A test is still a test, and it's definitely IMPORTANT.

2. Remember to keep checking and checking after I've finished any tests/exams.

Some points for me to reflect on:

Why am I always scoring the same in all subjects? Not to mention the two Maths, but why am I always scoring 'B's and even 'C's (at times) for my English, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Humanities? Is it that my study method is ineffective? Is it that I've not put in effort that I deem sufficient? Is it that I've been too complacent? Is it time management?

Well, after some thinking. It all boils down to the first and second reasons. They sound the most logical and sensible to me. Well, I don't think I have poor time management, I make an effort to seize every second I have wisely. I do not go home everyday and catch my forty winks, nor do I put down my bag and switch on the computer immediately after I've reached home.

No, I do not study like, every, single, day, but I do revision work regularly. Like thrice per week? However, I guess it's still insufficient. My results don't improve. :(

Regarding my study methods, I do not have any fixed study methods, but the main thing is just PRACTISE, PRACTISE and STILL PRACTISE. Of course I do read the textbook for further understanding. But why? Why won't the digits go up? Why won't the grades drop in numbers?

This, I really do not know.

This entry has been too draggy and dramatic. Well, my next post will be something better I think. Do stay tuned.
