014 Di di di di di di, I lost my phone
Wednesday, December 31, 2008 2:41 PM

Good afternoon people! Today's New Year's Eveeee. Ohwow 2009 is gonna be here in no time. Hmm, 2008 has been really good for me. I guess I'm too lazy to jot everything down. I'm lazy to think bout the memories too. But fret not, I've all the photos with me and I can definitely REMEMBER them if I want to. :D

Anyway, noticed my title? It's the di di rap again! If you guys happened to chance upon vinegarice-, you would have known this was a rap done by Nadia and I! It was edited from the Baby Shark cheer. LOL.

And yes, I LOST MY PHONE! Hahaha. But it was found! Hurray :D

Thanks Brandon for redeeming the phone for me!

He has really helped me a lot this year. I mean, he did a nice Christmas card for me, went to the class gathering and now he even offered to help me collect my phone back! How great can he be? 8)

Thanks bro! Since you helped me collect it back @ Pizza Hut, I shall give you a treat @ Pizza Hut one day! And I mean it. Hahhaa. :)

So, I shall further elaborate on how my phone was lost and the process.

It was on Monday, 29th December. I met Daniel Lim, PPFFPP and Amanda. PPFFPP had to buy a dress for her upcoming wedding (she's a receptionist coolioh) so we accompanied her. Original idea was to catch Bedtime Stories and walk around Tampines Mall though. Hahaha.

So we had lunch @ Pizza Hut. Muddle-headed me left my phone on the table and left merrily, apparently oblivious to the fact that my phone's lost. Hahhaa. :)

Then, happily, I boarded the train with them, joked, talked, laughed a lot. Then suddenly, when I boarded the train @ Jurong East Interchange, I realized that my phone's missing. I dug my pockets the second time and still couldn't find it. Hastily, I searched my bag too. Still nothing!

"Oh shit, I think I lost my phone"

Was what I told PPFFPP (she was standing closest to me then). Then we started to panic. She told me to check my bag and pockets again while she made a call to my phone. She could still get through. That means my phone is still on and someone HASN'T taken it away to sell it or something.

I calmed down, and assumed that I left it @ Pizza Hut. PPFFPP reassured my assumption. I must have left it there!

Then, kind Amanda and Daniel began calling and texting their friends whether they were still @ Lot1 so that they can help me get my phone back before any villian lays a finger on it. Hahaha. Thanks pals, I know you care :D

However, it was to no avail. Called and asked many people. Jocelyn, Awal, Hwai Yi, Laura (too bad she has already left Lot 1) and even Ada (very paiseh to talk to someone you don't know on the phone you know!).

NO ONE IS AT LOT 1!!

Then, my saviour came.

BRANDON ONG JUN YANG!
(Put your name bigbig)

Knowing that he lived near Lot 1, I tried calling him. Fortunately, he was at home (I thought he wenta swim). After telling him my incident, I asked if he could help me collect it @ Pizza Hut. And guess what! He agreeed. Darn good :) I told him about the physical features of my phone, and that the wallpaper is a picture of a baby. Hahaha. :) He got it and went to collect my phone.

Whew! Sucha huge sigh of relief heaved. Hahaha. Finally. By then, the train had already brought us to City Hall I think. :) Half the journey to go. Then we shared some IQ questions with one another. I love reflex puzzles! It trains your mind to think think think. :D

Then finally, Brandon called back.

MY PHONE IS REDEEMED!

Wahahahahahahahaha! I know I'm a lucky guy, I've always been lucky right? :D Thanks so much Brandon! ;) Now, my phone is still cohabiting with his (I think). Hahahhaa. Only gonna collect it when school reopens. Boohoo. I miss my phone!

I wonder how many messages I've! :D I admit, I can't really survive without my phone! But I'd lived for 2 days already, and will still live for another 2 days. :D I mean, I love messaging so much it has already become an addiction, or a habit for me every day.

It is already a habit for me to search through my pocket and take my phone out to text people/check for messages. It is already a habit for me to play the games in my phone whenever I'm bored/waiting for my computer to load completely/when my Sister takes the DS out. It is already a habit for me to look through my phone's dictionary when I encounter words that I do not know. It is already a habit for me to SEE MY PHONE EVERYDAY.

Hahaha. I guess now, I can survive without a phone. :) I really can!

Haha, okay. My Sister has to use the computer now. Seeya soon.

My Next Update Will Be On >> New Year Resolutions

My new year resolutions are stored in my phone so I can't blog them now! Never mind, it's worth the wait. Yeh :D

013 Disappointment
Sunday, December 28, 2008 4:54 PM

For those of you who have been keeping up with my blog, you'd have known I'm supposed to blog my New Year Resolutions. However, I thought, New Year Resolutions are only supposed to be blogged in the NEW YEAR, ain't it? Hence, I've decided to postpone that entry and blog about another thing instead.

Disappointment.

Why the title? You guys must have wondered. HAHAHA. It's actually because I didn't get to play Mahjong at all in this holidays.

It was actually planned that Me, PPFFPP and two other players are gonna meet up for Mahjong yesterday. Turned out EVERYONE WASN'T FREEEE! Grrrrr, angry. When lotsa people are free, they don't wanna play Mahjong. When we wanna play Mahjong, no one is freeee!

WHY IS THAT SO?!?!

*exasperated*

Well well, so I just rotted @ her house. I reached @ 1.30pm, and left @ 5.30pm. Slacked damn long yeah? In between the 4 hours, these were what we did:

1. talked
2. gossiped
3. blogged
4. she read Breaking Dawn
5. watched videos (NCO POP and Twilight)
6. played 1 PATHETIC game of MJ
7. watched telly

I think that's all. OMG we were Goddamn boring people right! Life sucks when there ain't enough kakis for a game of Mahjong.

I texted many people. Amanda, Jocelyn, Shaotao, Shufen, Thoven and even tried MELISSA (she hasn't got back yesterday afternoon). I EVEN CALLED ZHENYI (clearly knowing that she's still @ Genting, but it's boredom that instigated me to do this)

BUT NO ONE WAS FREEEE!

Amanda's out, Jocelyn's having tuition (she switched off her phone), Shao Tao's having tuition too, Shufen's working, Thoven, Melissa and Zhenyi didn't reply. Hahaha.

Well, I guess two words sum it up all:

TOUGH LUCK.

Hogay, I submit to my fate, to our fate. Thus, I proclaim:

MAHJONG DATE HAS FAILED!
-horribly, badly, terribly.

It's alright. I'm happy right now coz I've completed several things:

1. Beijing Scrapbook (it's very plain and quite ugly I think, totally lacks creativity but what can you expect from me who has ever gotten a D7 for Art?!)

2. Clearing of my clothes wardrobe (quite happy coz this has always been a tedious chore for me.)

3. Blogged about almost everything I wanted to (I'm still left with posting the 3E Gathering @ 4E'09 blog only! I guess it'll take only an hour or two to do it)

And I got my scholarship today! $300 why isn't it $350? :o And bloody shit, the ceremony was stupid. In fact, there wasn't even any ceremony, it was just registration, sitting @ your bloody seat for 1 hour + waiting for GOH to arrive, then rise for him and then sing National Anthem, then hearing the GOH speak for 17 minutes and then I collected my scholarship and that's all!

Where's the usual line-up-in-a-line-in-an-orderly-manner and going up on stage one-by-one and shaking hands with the GOH when the emcee announces your name?!

I missed that like totally!

Last year and this year, there weren't such things anymore. I wonder, what's the point of me waking up 7 in the morning just to be clad in my uniform full of crease and then just take my scholarship and go?

I know this is saving time and all. But I AM SURE THERE'S DEFINITELY TIME! For the past few consecutive years (minus last year), I've been going up on stage to claim my Bursaries, that's like sucha proud and honoured thang. This year? Nothing of that sort!

Grrr. Angry. I should have followed this girl who came late @ 9.15am, when the ceremony ended @ 9.35am. Wasted 2 hours of sleep. Sheeeeeex. Talk about rewarding our efforts for studying, you should at least have our beautiful names called out and all! Hahaha.

Enough of that.

I'm watching Bedtime Stories with PPFFPP tomorrow can't wait! @ Tampines Mall somemore. First time our outing's in the East. LOL. :D Gonna travel for damn long. :P

P/S: My Sister just sprayed some insecticide in the room it stinks like crazy I needa go out for a breath.

Till then!

Beijing Meeting tomorrow! :D

My Next Update Will Be On >> Outing with PPFFPP? Idk.

012 Family Chalet 2008
Friday, December 26, 2008 2:10 PM

Family Chalet was fun! Except for one thing:

I DIDN'T PLAY MAHJONG AT ALLLLLLLL! D:

Shall elaborate on that later. Shall continue with my detailed entry + pictures.

This year, unlike the other years, my Aunt got a BIGGGGGGER (seriously much bigger) chalet for the whole family (maternal side). It's like about 5 times bigger than the 2 storey chalet @ Costa Sands. And it's so damn effin' cheap. Guess what!

$120 for 5 nights!

Hohohoho. I don't know if it's a Christmas offer but it's really darn cheap! :D However, this offer can only be gotten if you were one of the two who got chosen in a lucky draw (fyi, thousands joined this lucky draw). And my Aunt was ultra lucky, cos one of the two happened to be her friend, who then OFFERED this great offer to her.

How nice can her friend get?! How lucky can my Aunt get?! How fortunate can we be to stay in there for a night?! :DDDDD

Here're some pictures of the HDB Bungalow (I think PPFFPP might have stayed in there before, I recalled her telling me how great it was when we were @ 2A Chalet last December).

The bedrooms. They've 3 such rooms.

Beside the bed.

The stairs. Dad, Jefferson and ZX are on it.

One of the two dining tables.

Look @ how spacious the living room is.

The TV is a little small though :}

My AHMA's behind!

At about hmm, lemme recall, 6.30pm, Dad drove us to my Granny's place. We helped to carry things (food, baby stuff) to the taxi. At 7pm sharp, we set off to Pasir Ris Road, where the HDB Bungalow is located.

Oh my God was the first line I said. It was really big, nice, big, nice, big, nice. HAHAHA. I'm using simple words cos that's how simple the meaning is. :) After putting down my bags, I took out my camera and started taking pictures. Yeh x)

ZHONGXIN! :D

姐弟情深!

Eeteng! :)

Lying down and twising.

I love the effect of this photo! Like she's doing some huffing and puffing. xD

Er Jie and ET.

ZX, Er Jie and ET :D

Blurry.

Big nostrils.

Then it was time for BBQ. In fact, before we reached there, the BBQ has already started. We reached @ around 7.35pm I think. The driver (my Dad)'s damn fast! ;)

Ate a little only though, wasn't very hungry I don't know why. Then started camwhoring again. In the activity (MJ!) room, on the dining table, on the sofa, everywhereeeeee! Hahaha.

Cousins and Uncle @ dining table 2.

Blurred Uncle, Mum, ZX and Ahma!

My ahma's shyyyy.

ET loves playing this.

ZX and I :D

A great pity I didn't take a picture of the activity room. I wanted to play Mahjong so much, but, but sighx I couldn't. Not that I didn't, I couldn't. Haha elaboration later continue reading manx! xD

After that the whole family gathered and caught The Little Nyonya. I didn't watch, I was busy playing with my 2 adorable cousins, Ee Teng and Zhong Xin. Wheeeee both of them are darn cute especially Zhong Xin! :DDDDD

Soon, it was time to celebrate my cousin, Jefferson's birthday! His birthday falls on 24th December, which is also Christmas Eve. That's uber nice please! >) Took a few photos too.

Birthday boy with ET and ZX. Look @ his miserable ZX is.

ET solo shot.

Happy 16th Birthday, Jefferson!

Sang birthday song tooo so nice! :) Then we ate the cake, quite nice and spongy. Hahaha. :) I love chocolate!

Then then we slacked around. The adults (my uncle's friends) played Mahjong. How I wished I could play. Well, time to elaborate why I couldn't play.

1) They are too professional, fast and scary!

I happened to enter the room and watched them play one game. OMG they're dang fast and pro! Even when it comes to rolling die and counting numbers, they're MUCH MUCH faster than me. *gasps*

Then the way they played was also super swift! Like, they can tell what the tile is by just using their thumb to 'examine' it. And when one of the players was one step from winning the game ie. 听牌, the next player simply threw the tile that he wanted. And he went, "Pong (the correct word to say when you've won the game), si tai," meaning four tai2.

UBER SCARY! Tell me, how to play with such pro people?

2) They played with chips (equates to kachinggg)

Their bets are way too big. Like one blue chip is $1, one green chip is $10, pink chip is $100?! It was so scary that my uncle lost $300+ just on that night itself by playing 2 rounds. Okay, when I mean 2 rounds it isn't just 2 games of Mahjong only, it's two rounds of going East, South, West and North. Again, if you don't get what I mean, you're a total noobie. HAHHAHA :x

My Dad was one of the players and I'm happy enough that he won $30. Lucky thing he didn't lose. He claimed that he'd not gambled for 10 years (that's why my house doesn't have Mahjong table and tiles) and that night was a COMEBACK for him. Wheeeeew.

3) If I were to play, I'd definitely lose thousands!!! (okay, exaggerating)

HAHAHA. Regardless of whether it is speed, accuracy, professionalism, counting die numbers, counting tais, I lost to them in all aspects! What a shame. Plus, Dad told me, if I were to play with them, I would definitely lose till my butt burns! ROFLMAO.

Hence, these explained why I couldn't play Mahjong.

Like totally sadness, I was so prepared to play, yet I couldn't. Sighx. But NEVER MIND! I've a Mahjong appointment with PPFFPP tomorrow! I'm so gonna go her house and play tomorrow for 5 hours straight (if we can) HAHAHHA. But before that, I'm gonna teach her some Matrices in the morning. I think I've forgotten how to do them. Sheeesh.

WE'RE IN NEED OF 2 MJ KAKIS!

Interested? Please make your way to Teck Whye Lane HAHAHA text me instead! :D

Back to the topic. Since my Dad was one of the players, I, as his son, heir of the family (OMG LITTLE NYONYA), must SUPPORT HIM ALL THE WAY! Thus, I watched Dad play MJ till 4 in the morning. Time really flies, just 2 rounds (uh, about 20 games only?) and 4 hours passed. Hmmmm. Wonder how many rounds I'll play @ PPFFPP's house tomorrow.

Okay, back to the point again. I always sidetrack. My Dad could have won more if not for the second round, the other 2 players (which aren't my Uncle and Dad) made a TOTAL comeback. They were a middle-aged woman and a man.

VRAHLAU, the woman kept pinghu 4 tai! Somemore it's zi mo (self-drawn) and it's 5 tai! The man kept yao dao (Getting a combination of either the cock & the centipede or the cat & the rat) like 5 times?!?! Somemore, in one particular game, he gang-ed (you get four f the same tiles) thrice! That's already a lot of money already, like I think $100?!?! Goshes x,x

Ultimately, because my Dad wasn't lucky enough in the second round (my luck has all been used up in the first round), he got from winning $100+ to $30. Not bad la, actually. Winning small is definitely better than losing big. :p

So @ 4am, Dad and I went up to catch some rest. Hahaha. I didn't really sleep well, even though I was pretty tired. Imagine sleeping @ 4 in the morning :D So coooool.

The next day, I'd Instant Roti Prata and coffee for breakfast. Wheee so crunchy and nice. The curry's nice too (although it's canned food). I love spicy! :D

Then we [I, Jefferson, Lowell (my other cousin) my sisters, Ee Teng and Zhong Xin] went to the playground nearby and played. :DDDD The playground is niceeeeee! Or should I say are? Cos there were lotsa playgrounds. I think I went there during 2A Chalet. I remember the spinning thing.

AH-HA this one!

Ah nostalgia.

We played the swings with ET and ZX. :D

ET's quite afraid of the swing actually.

Twisting on the baby swing :D

Unglam sister.

About an hour later, we went back. Time for the adults to leave. Before that we had a family photo-taking session like usual. HAHAHA. Whenever there're family gatherings, there will definitely be family shotx. My Mum is always the one being super high while the kids will all feel boredddd. Hahahha.

ET and ZX posing.

ET, ZX and Uncle on the swing. Look @ ZX's eyebrows!

Me and my Mum hahaha :)

The rest of the photos are in my Aunt's camera.

After bidding Goodbye to the adults (plus my sis, ET and ZX), we wenta Escape theme Park. OMG I must say ETP is damn boring after repeatedly going every year. Furthermore, Revolution has been demolished (I think it's rather unsafe), Rainbow is undergoing maintenance and Flipper is so damn bored. Inverter couldn't be played too, due to the rain.

This left us with only Pirate Ship and the carnival games. My first ride on Pirate Ship was fun! I think it's because I've not sat on it for too long, so that explains the heart itchy-ness. HAHAHA. Even my Sister agreed with me. All in all, I played Pirate Ship thrice with my Sister, Flipper once and the carnival games. That's all. ETP is so boringgggg~

After that we met with my Uncle and Aunts and we went for lunch. Ate Laksa (they claimed in their menu that it's the Traditional Katong Laska but I doubt so, Katong Laksa isn't supposed to be spicy, it's supposed to smell nice) and Green Apple Milkshake. Hahaha.

Then I bought some Dark chocolate back for just $11! :D Gonna eat them soon, bit by bit. Too much will give me a sore throat. :)

Yeh Family Chalet was awesome this year! But it'd be PERFECT if I got to play Mahjong. Still, it's alright. Cos tomorrow will be the day I get to play. FINALLY! :)

Oh, I wanna thank JOCELYN YEOH SHU YI for coming to my house to deliver the jellies. I love it a lot! :) And hope the pigeons and my sis didn't scare you HAHAHA. xD

I was too hungry I ate 2 before I can even take a picture of it.

Also, I wanna thank BRANDON ONG JUN YANG (hope you'll see this but chances're slim) for the self-made Christmas card! It's really nice and heart-warming. :D

Nice handwriting, Brandon! :D

Really love this card a lot! :D

End of post.
