015 In 2009, I wish upon a gorgeous angel, double happiness and three blind mice
Friday, January 2, 2009 5:48 PM

Good afternoon people!

I've changed my layout. I love this totally, don't you guys agree with me? And I love all the quotes in my blog, especially the Barbie one.

"If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her

friends?"

ROFLMAO, silly but it does makes sense, after you give some thought to it. Hahaha.

Okay, this entry is about my New Year Resolutions for 2009. It's a brand new year, a brand new beginning. Yes it's the O'Levels. But, I can't say I'm not ready, I wanna quit school, or I don't wanna study. These are all immature remarks. I have to grow up and face the cruel truth.

The O'Levels are here. Yes, they're.

Hmm, as I am typing, I recalled an incident when I met an uncle, the boss of a provision shop somewhere @ Bukit Batok about a week ago. This was the conversation between him and I:

(In Mandarin)
Him: Eh little boy (loosely translated), how old are you?
Me: 16
Him: Oh, Sec 4 uh?
Me: Yeah.
Him: Taking your O'Levels this year right?
Me: Yeah (bnf)
Him: Aiyah, O'Levels very easy one la.

If it's very easy, why not you take my place and sit for all the

papers?!??!

Easier said than done. I loathe this type of people. Trying to put on a big hat when apparently they know they do not have sucha big head, or rather they know they're a non-megacephalist (unlike me, hoho).

Okay, I'm drifting away and away from the main purpose of this entry. Right, my new year resolutions for 2009 are:

1. Score well for Ordinary Level Examinations 2009

Haha, duh which Secondary 4 Express student doesn't want good results for their O'Levels? Okay, I know, this is easier said than done (much much easier) too. Hence, I'm really gonna be determined, persistent and extra diligent in order to score well.

Frankly speaking, I'm actually aiming for a 9 for L1R5. Don't know if I can make it though. I CAN DO IT! :D I just have to work on both my Chemistry and Science, and of course, NEVER STOP practising both Mathematics and not forgetting, Higher Chinese.

I'm gonna use one of my weekends every week to revise whatever's been gone through in the week, and if possible, do notes (I've even prepared Jotter books for each and every subject).

I HOPE I CAN KEEP TO MY PROMISE! Because I rarely revise until the exams are like, one week away? (That's one very sad thing - I've to start real early to prepare for O'Levels!)

And seriously, timetables DO NOT work for me. I am not so rigid to follow the what-to-dos at the during-what-time. Hahaha. However, incredulously, a to-do list actually works for me! In fact, I've been writing to-do lists like rather frequently in the hols. It helps for me, especially preventing me to forget what's supposed to be done. :)

YONGKIAN, ALL THE BEST :D

2. Grow taller

Please please, I'm not gonna be greedy, let me be 1.75m, or if best 1.8m. I know 1.8 is kinda impossible but NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE hoho. What must I do to grow taller? Tips tips people :)

I can't skip @ home because it'll make the marble floor rough. I'm shy to skip outside too (like so stupid and many people'll be looking @ you). How? I don't know. Maybe playing sports helps. Okay, I promise to be more active in PE lessons, is that alright? :D

3. Grow fatter

HAHA Shao Tao please don't slap me when you see this. But seriously, I need more kilos to match my current height. Zzzzzz. Like I'm gonna be severely underweight soon if this continues. This meaning me despite eating a lot but still not showing any sign of gaining weight. :(

PPFFPP told me to eat more food that is rich in carbohydrates, like rice/noodles etc. Hmmm, perhaps I can try doubling my amount of rice for dinner! ;DD However, Amanda told me as my metabolic rate is high, it's difficult for me to gain weight. How now brown cow? :O

Still, I hope my weight can reach like (sets a target), 55kg by the end of the year? I wanted 60kg but it's seriously a gonecase, after trying for like years. With 55kg, I'm still underweight but I'll make do with it la, no choice.

:D

4. Speak SLOWER and CLEARER

I've realized I tend to speak really fast and unclearly. I MUST CHANGE THIS HABIT! It's like I wanna say a sentence and in most cases I end up gobbling up almost half of the words, making my words super unclear.

As much as I dislike it, I'm trying my very best to change this habit. However, if I talk real slowly it'd be fake and unnatural. Bah, I guess I must pronounce my words more properly to prevent having speech slurs. Yup.

5. Cry less

Okay, I don't know why this ended up as one of my resolutions. But still, elaborate a little on it. I don't cry often. In fact, I've NEVER cried in front of my Secondary School friends, I've only teared. There's a slight difference between these two. Hmm.

After a slight evaluation done by myself, I'd this conclusion that the reasons I cry are because someone has hurt my pride, or have maligned me in some way or another that I felt so hurt that tears just roll down my eyes uncontrollably. Yeah.

Hence, I needa change this. Not say stop the people from insulting/making a harsh comment/wronging me, but by crying less. Seriously, crying solves no problem, and instead adds on to one's burden. Idk what I'm talking bout but, the bottom line is crying is useless (if you're a guy la). :D

6. Lower my ego

Yep, this is somewhat related to crying less. Because someone has made a comment that sounded harsh/insulting/humiliating to me, I'd cry.

THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF MY HIGH EGO!

My pride, my self-centeredness. I needa get rid of these A.S.A.P. Like they're so useless and do not give me a good character at all. I wanna be a changed person this year, of course for the better. Yeah, so from now onwards, if you were to shoot a bad comment at me, probably I'll reply with a smile or a nod or at most, with a 'oh, okay'.

We'll see about that.

7. Stop being a diva

I'm sure Shao Tao would know that I'm quite a diva. Whenever it comes to things that I don't feel like doing, I'd not do it. For example, the Thank You cards. After I came back from Beijing, I'd KPDT Camp after a day's rest. We were tasked to do 4 Thank You cards and submit it by 2nd December (one of the days in KPDT Camp). Obviously, those who went to the camp had to do it during the camp, because the one day was spent to rest/unpack luggage/pack for camp.

Hiakhiak. However, I chose not to do it. I believed in quality work, I dislike last-minute work. I've always disliked the idea of rushing your work just for the sake of submitting and scraping through it. Hence, while the others did their cards, I only watched them. Hahaha.

A bit diva la, hor!

And and, also, I showed attitude to this teacher when I was in Sec 1. I remembered I used to dislike her (quite a lot), I disliked her lessons, disliked her size (oops), disliked the way she taught me, disliked the way she spoke, EVERYTHING.

Then there was once, I was playing with a pencil (I think), banging it on the table continuously while half-listening to her lesson. She stopped me, and asked what I was doing. As she was waiting for my reply, she walked to my table. Idk what has got into me, I threw the pencil and diao her, accompanied by a 'tsk' from my mouth. O.O

Can you believe I actually did that? It's 100% true okay! :D Okay, hide that happy face of mine. It isn't something to be happy about.

Yeah, so in 2009, I hope that I will not show attitude to any teachers that I dislike (none at the moment) and do whatever that is tasked (to me) willingly and whole-heartedly.

:D (Now I can be happy)

That's all. I have 7 new year resolutions only. Hmm, it's not a lot to ask for right? :)

Haha okay okay. I shall end this entry here.

Wait, there'll be a DOUBLE ENTRY today because it's......

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Okay, it's seriously NOTHING fascinating. Still, I'm blogging a little on that. And also, on my phoneee. It's finally back and lying beside me on my Sister's bed now (as I'm blogging).
